On Thursday, Christmas Eve, I was riding down the steep hill at the bottom of Stoney Creek Road to the wishing well. Safely and legally. I was going to make a left at the Y and head south on Buena Vista Road. I needed to have both hands on the brakes to slow down and make this left turn, then stop at the stop sign.
A car came up behind me, blaring its horn. This car was going to turn right and head north. I got over to the left section of the ‘Y’ as soon as I could. As the car passed me on the right (too close and too fast) the woman driver told me to “Get the f… out of the road”.
Merry Christmas to you too.

The foothill counties to my east are not friendly terrain for cyclists. You will be yelled at, threatened, even assaulted. Gary Johnson got a water bottle thrown at him from a car. It hit him in the face. I had a car stop in front of me and the driver actually got out and threatened to kick my ass. And we were on the tandem!
