Those pesky, low-level biologists

Water attorney Jerry Cadagan issued a press release:

“On Jan. 30, KCRA TV’s 6pm news had a brief segment in which Governor Jerry Brown mentioned his phone call with President Obama about the drought and California’s water problems.  Brown’s remarks included the following statement regarding what he referred to as the Delta Project “lower level [Federal] officials” aren’t being helpful …. in fact quite the opposite”.

“The basic thrust … is that so-called “lower level” professional biologists (“not people in political positions”) are having an influence on the fate of the Peripheral Tunnels project.  The implication of the Governor’s remarks seems to be that he wants President Obama to intervene and overrule the professional biologists; i.e. politics over science.”

Exactly. Those “low level (federal) officials” are biologists. Biologists have a pesky preoccupation with life. Brown’s message to Obama is to over-ride them.
