58% support water bond

A new survey finds the $11 billion water bond necessary to prop up the Delta tunnels project has 58 percent voter support.

That’s bad news. When you read stories like this one, what leaps out is that the destruction of the Delta isn’t even a part of the conversation. It is invisible to the reportage. Which means the Delta region is not getting its message out.

Suddenly, it’s feeling a lot like Owens Valley around here. The bond will appear on the Nov. 4, 2014 ballot.
