Rattling sabers with Doug

“Governor Brown, all the folks in Sacramento and those in Southern California who care little for our Delta heritage had better know we will do, as history shows, what is necessary to protect our heritage and legacy left to us by God, mother Nature and our Stockton and San Joaquin Delta ancestors.”

—Chamber CEO Douglass Wilhoit, in the new edition of Port O Call magazine. A nice shot of 100 proof Old Douglass.

Nothing has dislodged my suspicion that Gov. Brown has it in for our region. That, at best, we are just a means to an end and, at worst, the despised region that thwarted his grand Peripheral Canal plan the first time around. Perhaps I am wrong. But if Brown continues to subordinate the region’s interests we should indeed hand him another defeat to fume over.
