Using sophisticated jets, NASA is conducting air pollution research in the northern San Joaquin Valley’s lower atmosphere. Lockheed P-3B and Beechcraft 200 will measurements ozone, carbon dioxide and methane.
Scientists apparently think satellites are reading lower-level pollution incorrectly. The jet research “could dramatically improve the understanding of climate change and air pollution.”
