A bigger bankruptcy

Stockton’s bankruptcy is the biggest municipal bankruptcy in American history. So it seems pretty big. But last year Jefferson County, Alabama, filed for bankruptcy over $4.23 billion in debt.

Incidentally, over in Monroe County, Stockton, Alabama, was not affected.
