CNN is preparing a segment on bankrupt cities for a new show, “Inside Man.” A producer is contacting various Stocktonians to set up interviews.
Here’s the response CNN got when it approached Chamber CEO Douglass Wilhoit:
“Ms. Kalikow: I am sorry but I have made it a practice to only give interviews to local media for I can reach out and call them on the carpet if they are not accurate!
“This is due to the fact that for some time now outside media has only one thing in mind and that is to make our community look bad (which it truly is not and just the opposite is true) and as a 5th generation Stocktonian will not lend myself to that type of yellow journalism or conspiracy…
