Should the Fed bail out Stockton?

Yes, if the collapse of American cities becomes systemic and threatens essential services, two scholars write in the L.A. Times.

Interesting idea. Uncle Sam bailed out banks. Why not us? It might calm Warren Buffet. the famous investor/guru explicitly says Stockton’s bankruptcy has spooked him.
