Figuring out Lundgren on Hetch Hetchy

One of the puzzling aspects of the debate over restoring Hetch Hetchy is its support form otherwise evironmentally indifferent Republican Dan Lundgren.

San Franciscans simply refuse to believe Lungren is sincere — he’s just messing with our heads, they say. But then, San Franciscans are strangely hysterical over restoring Hetch Hetchy.

I personally believe –without any evidence — that Lungren is sincere. Funny thing: it’s not doing his re-election bid a bit of good.
