Since California’s high-speed rail system is constantly re-inventing itself, and it’s being sued over laying track across the Pacheco Pass, there was some hope the Rail Authority would change the alignment to the Altamont. Nope. 

Five mayors say the system is a good idea.

One political guru dissents.

A writer on Fox and Hounds detects anti-Valley bias.

And Congress may not pony up.

Another guru says voters should get to vote again on the system.
