Goofus and Gallant

Ever see Goofus and Gallant in Highlights magazine when you were a kid? Goofus and Gallant were two very different boys. Goofus always did the wrong thing. Gallant always behaved the right way.

Stockton is Goofus in today’s SacBee editorial. That’s what the city is now, a cautionary tale.
