Free banquet Saturday welcomes and honors veterans

A banquet both for and to honor veterans will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (Sept 12) at 1467 Michael Ave., Stockton.

The “Veterans Forever Banquet Celebration” is hosted by John L. Easter’s Homeless Veterans Program for Non-Commissioned Officers. Stockton Mayor Anthony Silva and City Councilman Michael Tubbs are scheduled to speak.

The event, including dinner, refreshments, music, veterans recognition and a tour of the new veterans office facility, is free but donations are welcome.
