$2.99 gas just around the corner

With California’s lowest average gas prices at $3.32 a gallon (AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report) reported in Stockton and San Joaquin County, and the Lodi Arco at Kettleman and Cherokee (just west of Highway 99) selling regular at $3.03 a gallon this morning, can $2.99 gas be far behind?
