Change at the top?
‘SUSD has scheduled a special meeting for 6 p.m. Thursday and by all indications, Interim Superintendent Steve Vaczovsky may be on his way back to the human-resources department by the time the meeting is adjourned. Vaczovsky himself has indicated he expects the change to take place. The key agenda item: “Interim Superintendent Change.”

‘Very disappointed’
SUSD Trustee Bill Ross said he’s sorry outgoing Lincoln Superintendent Steve Lowder will not be a candidate for Stockton Unified’s vacancy. Lowder was a finalist for SUSD’s job two years ago and would have been a candidate this year, too, but he’s already accepted a new job in Hemet.
