Today, Fredrick Wentworth served his final day as superintendent of the county office of education. He’s retiring about six months before the end of his term. Meet the new boss

When Fredrick Wentworth retires at the end of the year, Mick Founts will take over as superintendent of the San Joaquin County Office of Education. Founts was the only candidate and no one filed to run against him. The press release is after the jump.

The county office of ed held an open house today at what once was the Stockton Federal Building. Now, it’s an alternative high school program.
