One other note: The meeting originally scheduled for Aug. 18 has been moved to Aug. 11 in the district boardroom.
‘Very disappointed’
SUSD Trustee Bill Ross said he’s sorry outgoing Lincoln Superintendent Steve Lowder will not be a candidate for Stockton Unified’s vacancy. Lowder was a finalist for SUSD’s job two years ago and would have been a candidate this year, too, but he’s already accepted a new job in Hemet.

Lincoln Unified Superintendent Steve Lowder confirmed a little while ago that he has accepted the superintendent position at Hemet Unified in Southern California. Budget cuts are expected to result in about 240 K-7 students in Lincoln Unified being involuntarily transferred to different sites in 2010-11.

Here’s the agenda. LUSD has said it’s looking to cut about $5 million from its $60.6 million budget for 2010-11. All of the districts are starting to rev up.
