Steve Smith – said Stagg newspaper asked about why so many long-term subs at the school. So he and Kathy Garcia asked why. Wants to see permanent hires. Also thanked the BEA. Noted that Stagg beat Tokay “on their turf.” No word on what sport. He also attended crab feeds for Stagg and Edison high schools.
Collen Keenan – Cake raffled off at a crab feed for $105, and another for $200, she said. “How do you make that happen?” Said Stockton is two years ahead planning for Common Core.
Sal Ramirez – Didn’t speak into the microphone. But asked Lowder something, of which the superintendent agreed to.
Gloria Allen – Also happy with Edison crab feed and raffles, plus a TV give away. Thanked BEA for “doing what they do,” she’s real pleased with it.
David Verela – Judged skills competition last week at Delta. Is also happy with what the BEA is doing.
Pres. Kathy Garcia – Attended safety meeting where interim SUSD Police Chief Huber spoke. She didn’t say what he said, but that people listened. Also, she attended a “Franklin filming with the Univision” and that was great.
Lowder – Said one could eat their way through crab feeds in February and March.
