The bill became law, but the fight continues for Manteca transgender teen

It’s been three months since we wrote about Manteca High student Ashton Lee, who was in the center of efforts to pass an equal-rights bill for California transgender teens. Gov. Jerry Brown ultimately signed the bill into law.

Now, the 16-year-old Lee has filed a complaint with California Attorney General Kamala Harris against Capitol Resource Institute and its affiliated Capitol Resource Family Impact. Here’s a news release from GSA Network.
