Updated figures show better SUSD dropout, graduation rates

Melissa Neuburger, Stockton Unified’s director of research and data, has released updated dropout and graduation-rate statistics for the 2010-11 school year. The updated numbers are the result of multi-departmental “data cleanup efforts,” Neuburger said.

The new figures are better on a district-wide level and, in almost every case, on a school-by-school basis.

For the sake of comparison, San Joaquin County’s graduation rate the same year was 74.2 percent and its dropout rate was 18.7 percent. The state’s graduation and dropout rates were 76.7 and 14.7, respectively.
