The longtime SUSD educator died last week. A death notice appeared in the paper today. I’ve spent some time today working on an obituary. In going through our archives, I found a 1974 version of her resume, which you can view here.
She was Margaret K. Hunt Cooper back then, and boy, resumes have changed. Back then, it appears, people actually listed their weight. I, for one, am glad that has changed.
Williams led an interesting life and most significant was her work on behalf of black students, details of which will be included in her obituary.
And from what we hear, that hat in the photo was not an anomaly.
