CSEA’s Marilyn Brown, at her first meeting in awhile, is using a walker. She said two people came to a safety committee meeting and talked about Taft Elementary and how there’s a lot of trash there. Brown stood up for the custodian there. “That’s a very clean school.”
Also, she said, some people in SUSD think they can “jerk around” paraprofessionals. “We have a contract and that contract will be followed. Everything is done by seniority and we will not accept a partial seniority roster. … For three years we’ve been asking for a valid seniority roster.”
And after that, the board headed off to closed session.
