Tonight’s SUSD closed session began at 5 p.m. (and ended at 5:04). Going to be a long night, evidently.
There was one public comment before closed session, by Rio Calaveras Principal Gina Hall, head of the principals’ and assistant principals’ union. She spoke on item 1.5.3. Here’s the agenda.
Hall said, “Ask yourselves these questions: What reason are these principals on this list, what chance do they have to improve and what chance do they have for growth? To my knowledge, none had midyear evaluations.” As a result, she said, they have no way of determining areas in which they could improve. “It’s like asking a person to perform a job but not telling them what the job is.”
Now, closed session. There may be a fly on the wall in there but unfortunately, he probably doesn’t have an audio recorder.
