Here’s something you don’t see often in these cash-strapped times: Lincoln Unified has added two days to the current school year’s calendar. Thanks to the voters who approved Gov. Jerry Brown’s Proposition 30 education tax increase last week, Lincoln students now have a 177-day instructional calendar.
You can view the revised calendar here. What’s new? The last day of school is now June 5, not May 30. School now will be closed Feb. 15 and March 29. Next thing you know, California will have a budget surplus.
