There’s a pretty good chance we will find out Tuesday who will be the next Area 6 board member in Lodi Unified.
Today’s deadline to apply for the position passed at 4 p.m. There was just one applicant: Ron Freitas, the 51-year-old San Joaquin County chief deputy district attorney for the homicide and gang division.
Lodi’s board has scheduled a special meeting for 4:15 p.m. Tuesday in the district boardroom at 1305 East Vine Street to consider Freitas’ application. If Freitas is approved, he will be sworn in at the Dec. 11 board meeting.
