The San Joaquin County Office of Education announced a few minutes ago that Deputy Superintendent Gary Dei Rossi will retire March 1. Dei Rossi, 61, has been with the county office since 1991.
James Mousalimas will replace Dei Rossi. Janine Cuaresma will replace Mousalimas as assistant superintendent of county-operated schools and programs. The county office will initiate a search for an assistant superintendent of educational services.
From the county office:
“Gary has worked at SJCOE since 1991 and has developed many of the programs that have literally defined what we do, what the state does, and what our local districts do in order to help all children become better academically, socially, and emotionally.”
