Today was the first day of the filing period for those interested in running for their school boards, and no one — including the incumbents — has filed so far to run in Stockton Unified. The SUSD incumbents with expiring terms this year are Gloria Allen, Jose Morales and Angel Jimenez.
In Lincoln Unified, the two incumbents — board President Van Ha To-Cowell and George Conklin — have both filed to seek reelection (actually, Conklin is seeking to be elected for the first time after being appointed last year to complete the term of now-City Councilman Paul Canepa).
Plenty of time remains for those interested in running for office. The filing period ends Aug. 10.
