Math tutors sought

A message from the San Joaquin County Office of Education:

Math Smart Tutoring is looking for volunteers to share their love of math, algebra and geometry with area students. New tutor orientation will be held at M.K Troke Library at 502 W. Benjamin Holt Dr. in Stockton on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 5:00 PM.

Math Smart Tutoring provides free tutoring to any 6th through 12th grade students struggling with math.  Tutors share their enthusiasm and expertise and offer individual attention and encouragement.  We are inviting teachers, college students and community members to share their love of math by being a Math Smart Tutor.  The Math Smart Tutoring program takes place at MK Troke Library Tuesdays through Thursdays from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.

To register for orientation or for more information contact Veray Wickham, Community Involvement Coordinator, San Joaquin County Office of Education, 468-9021 or e-mail vwickham@sjcoe.net
