Here I am at the City Council meeting instead of the SUSD meeting and who do I see here but SUSD board President Sara Cazares? She reports to me that new Superintendent Steve Lowder’s first meeting went well. The Valenzuela-Hong Kingston merger was approved, the decision was made to close Stockton Intermediate, the calendar issue is resolved. Maybe I should miss SUSD meetings more often. Anyway, with the SUSD meeting over, Cazares is here now watching the city move toward bankruptcy.
