Lincoln High Principal Debbi Holmerud put out a rather disturbing voicemail/email late last night about a situation involving two male students.
So far, no luck getting hold of her or anyone from the district this morning. A person who answered the phone at Lincoln High at 9:35 a.m. said it’s been very quiet today at the high school, at the district’s continuation schools, and at Sierra Middle School.
Still, here is Holmerud’s email from last night:
“Good evening, this is principal Debbi Holmerud calling with an important message. Earlier tonight, it came to our attention through a social networking website, that one of our male high school students may be in a dispute with another male high school student and may pose a threat to this individual student. At this moment, we do not know the identities of either student by name, but we believe we will be able to identify the student who may pose this threat by appearance tomorrow morning before school begins. The primary reason we are sending this message is to explain why you may notice a police presence around the Sierra, Lincoln High School, Sture Larsson and McCandless campuses tomorrow morning. Secondly, if by chance this happens to be a credible concern, we believe this message will travel quickly and the student of concern will be aware tonight that he will be addressed before entering campus tomorrow morning. Our students’ safety is always our greatest concern, and we anticipate having another great day of school for our students tomorrow. Thank you and good night.”
