SUSD parent (and employee) Thelma Gray has been in the news recently regarding her concerns over how her young son was handled a year ago by Stockton Unified police Lt. Frank Gordo.
Gray now informs us that Gordo has filed a complaint against her with Stockton Unified. Gray is a special-education assistant at Franklin High. She provided the letter she received from Stockton Unified that informed her of the complaint against her.
The letter is dated Dec. 14. Gordo’s complaint was filed before the Dec. 13 school board meeting. At that meeting, Gray spoke during the public comment session. Nothing Gray said is likely to encourage Gordo to withdraw his complaint.
Gray said at the board meeting that she is frustrated action hasn’t been taken against Gordo. She asked the board, “Are you waiting for this man to accidentally kill somebody before you act? What are you waiting for? You can keep ignoring me. The more you ignore me, the louder I will get.”
Stockton Unified Police Chief Jim West declined comment today.
