14. Gerardo Ramirez Garcia, 83

The victim of the 14th homicide in San Joaquin County this year, Garcia was found on April 24 in a home in the 4200 block of Carpenter Road. 10. William Robert Meagher, 84, and 11. Jonathan Meagher, 48

The Meaghers, father and son, were shot March 25 at their home on Homestead Lane. A neighbor on the property, 34-year-old Gary Morris, was shot in the foot. 8. Billi Jo Dyer-Romero, 44

The Sheriff’s Office reported Dyer-Romero, of Acampo, was killed March 2 by her husband of 9 1/2 years, Juan Romero, who then killed himself.

7. Michael Wayne Smith, 36

Smith is the seventh homicide victim in San Joaquin County this year. He was beaten to death with a baseball bat on Feb. 25. Two others who were also beaten survived. The Sheriff’s Office arrested Richard Lee Henderson, 27, on suspicion of Smith’s murder.

Fernando Valdez(s)

On Monday the Stockton Police Department arrested Fernando Valdez, 29, AKA “Pigeon” and “Nando,” on suspicion of murder in connection with the shooting last week of 33-year-old Michael Allen Williams, of Farmington.
