The city has not had a new strategic economic development plan since 2006, and the current one it uses is a county-wide plan.
But if the City Council gives its approval at tomorrow night’s meeting, Stockton will pay close to $100,000 to a Southern California firm to develop a five-year plan tailored specifically for the city.
In January, city staff asked the Council to approve seeking bids to create the new plan. The Natelson Dale Group submitted the bid that will be voted on tomorrow. Here’s the PowerPoint on the need for this plan that was presented in January by Economic Development Director Micah Runner.
