City Hall live — Council comments and adjournment

Kathy Miller said the Council is well-aware of problems at the Animal Shelter but said there also have been improvements. “The best thing all of us can do is spay and neuter your pets, and if you have any capacity at all, rescue an animal.”

Dyane Burgos Medina: She said she is working to set up a fundraiser for the Animal Protection League. She said there’s also an extremely low rate of licensing in the city, and if people would license their animals it would raise revenue.

Paul Canepa: He congratulated some recent award-winners and also said he and Elbert Holman recently rode on new articulated buses.

Elbert Holman praised the city’s diversity and tied it in to the nearly concluded Black History Month.

And that’s it.
