Vice Mayor Kathy Miller is leading tonight’s meeting as Mayor Ann Johnston is on vacation. Among commendations given out was one for outgoing Councilwoman Susan Eggman.

“You’re probably wondering what does he want?” Ornellas said, taking the podium during public comment. He came to deliver his “Barbara Streisand farewell tour.” He’s counting down the last 49 days of his term in county government.
Ornellas thanked city leaders for cooperating with him over at the county. He encouraged them, saying that he has spent more time in Stockton in his last 10 years than his home community of Tracy.
“This is a community with a large heart and a deep soul,” he said. “This community will come out the other side.”
As for what’s next, Ornellas said he plans on spending more time under palm trees drinking adult beverages.
