An apparent case of wishful thinking

The latest rumor was that Stockton City Manager Bob Deis was applying to work in San Jose as city manager there. Before that, he was said to be applying in Vallejo. When asked, Deis chuckled and said that he hasn’t applied anywhere since he took his job in Stockton.

“The city is stuck with me for awhile,” he said.
