Galgiani’s letter

Assemblywoman Cathleen Galgiani sent this letter to CDCR Secretary Matt Cate, putting him on 48-hour notice. She learned hours after delivering it that the FBI and CDCR had taken Shermantine out Sunday. Galgiani said that her position has not changed, that if any law enforcement agencies are rebuffed upon make a request under her legislation to take Shermantine out, she’ll take her case to the governor.
