A heart warming anti-double dip story

An upcoming story in The Record attempts to take a closer look at interim Police Chief Blair Ulring’s return to work upon retiring and the financial implications therein.

You may have also heard recently about Larry Powers, the school superintendent in Fresno who agreed to work for $32,000 after retiring rather than accepting $290,000 annual salary. He did it for the children of Fresno, says this feelgood story on ABC World News.

And then, this Orange County Register story rips the heart out of it.
