This week

Looks like I missed some big labor news during my vacation last week.

Here’s a little of what’s going on this week at Stockton City Hall.

•Tonight’s City Council meeting has a pretty light agenda. Included are items to hire a headhunting firm for $37,800 to find replacements for outgoing Community Services Director Pamela Sloan and Deputy Community Development Director for Buidling Eric Elias; and a request to create a new contract with an outside legal firm to help handle eminent domain cases.

• The Planning Commission meets Thursday to consider denying a proposed medical marijuana dispensary on West Fremont Street over parking and neighborhood concerns. The dispensary applicants have revised their proposal to address those concerns. More to come.
