• City Councilwoman Susan Eggman has confirmed she’ll run for the state Assembly next year. She’s seeking the seat that will be vacated by Assemblywoman Cathleen Galgiani, D-Livingston, who was elected in 2006 and will be termed out of office next year.

Reached this morning, Galgiani said she’s running for the secretary of state’s office and is endorsing Eggman in her Assembly bid.

“I think Susan is extremely thoughtful and hard-working and is very highly qualified to succeed me,” Galgiani said.
