Lexington inching along

The sale of the Lexington Plaza Waterfront Hotel hasn’t yet been finalized, but folks say it’s still close.

Last month, the city’s Redevelopment Agency filed a certificate of compliance with the county. Owner First Bank needed that squared away before it could transfer the property to the prospective new owner, said Gus Duran, the city’s interim Economic Development Director.

In the meantime, the wheels on the sale are moving, but slowly, said Kevin Pasek, a senior associate with the Irvine-based Atlas Hospitality Group, which is marketing the hotel. He said he hoped the sale would be wrapped up soon.
