Paderes campaign finance form

After quite a delay, Xochitl Paderes’ campaign finance form is on file at City Hall.

Click here to read it. The District 1 City Council candidate, who is running against Councilman Elbert Holman, Jr., reported receiving a $2,000 loan from her mother, Cynthia Raya, and most of her other contributions have been under the $100 disclosure threshold.

You might recall Paderes did not file her disclosure form on time. City Hall is allowed to charge $10 a day in late fees, but the City Clerk’s office has not indicated whether it will levy any penalties. The Fair Political Practices Commission also has the authority to levy fines up to $5,000.

(On a separate note, the City Clerk’s office accidentally sent the original copy of the filing to the state, and just got it back this week.)
