The Altamont Commuter Express annexation project is up, in which ACE intends to build a maintenance facility. ACE has a 230 acre site bounded by West Lane, Harding Way, Alpine Avenue and Cemetery Lane.
“It’s a great project,” Community Development Director Mike Niblock said.

Approved, too, is a $1.5 million change order with HDR Engineering Inc. for the completion of the design of the French Camp Road / Interstate 5 interchange project.
7:12 p.m.:
In council comments, Councilman Dale Fritchen is holding up the applications that the county and city require for the same Neighborhood Stabilization Program funds. The city’s application package is considerably thicker.
Councilwoman Leslie Baranco Martin has proposed that the meeting be adjourned in honor of Lavenna Gray, who died Feb. 27. She was 57.
The meeting is adjourned in her name.
The council is to take a 10 minute break before this evening’s budget study session.
