More from City Hall: Payment to CSL approved
6:13 p.m.:
The council has voted 6-1 to pay $75,000 more to consultancy Conventions, Sports & Leisure to assist in a bid to buy out the manager of Stockton Arena and the sports teams that play there.
Councilman Dale Fritchen pulled the item from consent and voted against it. He voted against an initial allocation to CSL last year and said he again found the payment “excessive.”
Councilwoman Susan Eggman, who also voted against the payment last year, voted for it tonight. She said, “I feel confident that the people of Stockton deserve for us to look at this as thoroughly as possible.”
She said the council in a closed session talked about “the options being presented.”
