Holman campaign begins

City Councilman Elbert Holman Jr.’s 2010 election campaign started with a barbecue Sunday on the city’s north side. He made an address and played with the Cesar Chavez High School jazz band:


The hot dogs were paid for by A.G. Spanos Cos., Holman said (He said he has not yet asked for the company’s endorsement, which typically comes with more than lunch):


Holman’s consultant, Donna Brown, was in attendance:


So was Planning Commissioner Sam Fant, who is working on the campaign:

The race in Stockton’s northernmost District 1 is much less of a race today than it was a week ago, Dave Renison having pulled out on Wednesday.
