Lexington to re-open Sept. 22

The Lexington Plaza Waterfront Hotel, closed last month, foreclosed on and repossessed by First Bank, is to re-open Sept. 22, a hotel official told the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Stockton Alliance, chamber and alliance officials said this afternoon.

The chamber’s Douglass Wilhoit and the alliance’s Dennis Smallie said Robin Paloma, the hotel’s director of sales and marketing, told them of the re-opening. Smallie and Wilhoit did not know if the hotel would remain a Lexington. Paloma did not immediately return a telephone call today for comment.

More to follow.
