Rescheduled, thankfully

Two weeks ago I groused about how the government shutdown forced officials to cancel a fishing event for special-needs kids at New Melones Lake.

I’m happy to report that C.A.S.T. for Kids been rescheduled for Nov. 9.

Hopefully the weather holds out, considering the event was originally scheduled to take place much earlier in the season, on Oct. 12.

And hopefully Washington politics won’t interfere again with the happiness of special-needs children who just want to have some fun and maybe catch a fish.
