The shutdown of the federal government is starting to hurt businesses — and not only those at Yosemite’s doorstep.
Glory Hole Sports in Angels Camp today announced a 20 percent sale on virtually everything the store has in stock, except food and drink. The sale will last “for one week — until Wednesday, the 9th — or until the government gets their act together… whichever happens first,” the announcement read.
Glory Hole services fishermen and boaters who visit New Melones, a federal reservoir whose recreational amenities are off-limits just like those at the more famous neighboring national park.
The sale is necessary for Glory Hole to maintain a positive cash flow, the store reported.
