Tales from the critter

Here’s a real fluff story I did over the weekend.

For what it’s worth, my most interesting encounter with Stockton’s urban wildlife happened a couple years back when dead and dying mice started turning up in my back yard. We’re talking a half-dozen mice a day for probably a couple of weeks.

The cat was overjoyed. Might have helped finish some of them off.

The mosquito/vector control folks came out to take a look, but we never got a definitive explanation. It’s possible someone was disking farmland on the other side of the levee, sending rodents scurrying into the neighborhood. The Secret of Nimh effect.

Anyway, drop me a line and share your own experiences. Would love to hear about them.
