Today’s Bay Delta Conservation Plan meeting went 4.5 hours — and some of the material had to be pushed back to the next gathering in two weeks.
Looked like a good crowd there, including many Delta residents and farmers concerned about the plan.
I won’t attempt to recap the whole discussion here. Suffice it to say that folks still have some pointed questions about the plan, and state folks stayed well after the meeting was scheduled to end in an attempt to answer those questions.
“I’m impressed by your stamina,” Deputy Resources Secretary Jerry Meral told the crowd when the curtain finally closed. “We’ll probably test it again in two weeks.”
