Friday, March 15: Sky tours stargazing event. 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., San Joaquin Delta College Shima 2 parking lot. Come peer through the telescopes of members of the Stockton Astronomical Society.

Saturday, March 16-Sunday, March 17: Woodbridge Wilderness Area open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Open to birdwatchers at 8 a.m. Saturday. Explore this riparian area along a quarter-mile of the Mokelumne River. More details, including a map, here.

Saturday, March 16: Guided paddle trip, Cosumnes River Preserve. Must bring your own gear and life jacket. Meet at 8:309 a.m. at visitor parking area. More details here.

Sunday, March 17: St. Patrick’s Day “pot o’ gold” hike at New Melones Lake. Follow the rainbow of clues focusing on natural resources along the 2.5-mile Heron Point loop trail. Meet at 10 a.m. at the Tuttleton Entrance Station. More details here.

Wednesday, March 20: Sunset paddling trip at Lodi Lake. Scheduled each Wednesday through spring and summer months. Bring your equipment, or rent for $25. Otherwise, the trips are free. Thursday, April 11: Public meeting about the Great California Delta Trail. 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg. Learn about plans to build a system of trails through the Delta. More details here.
